About ResearchRoomies
Our Goal
Research Roomies is a simple coordination tool designed to help academics reduce conference travel costs by connecting attendees who wish to share hotel rooms, rental cars, or other expenses. Our platform facilitates introductions between users, but does not participate in or monitor any arrangements made outside the site.
Safety Disclaimer
Research Roomies currently requires an .edu email address to create an account and use features such as posting and contacting other users. However, posts and other publicly available content on the website can be viewed by anyone, including people who do not have an .edu email address. The .edu requirement is intended to promote a safer academic community, but it does not mean that Research Roomies verifies, screens, or endorses the identity, background, academic status, or intent of any user. We do not review the accuracy of user-provided information or monitor arrangements made outside the site. Users are solely responsible for independently verifying the identity and suitability of anyone they connect with and should exercise caution when arranging shared lodging, transportation, or other arrangements.

Partnerships
We welcome academic organizations and conference committees to share Research Roomies in their announcements. If you contact us at admin@researchroomies.com beforehand, we may be able to feature your conference on our site to make coordination easier for your attendees. Sharing or featuring does not constitute an endorsement.
